About me
Hello, and thank you for being here.
I am a creator, a connector, and a lifelong student of life’s unpredictable journey. My path has taken me from the dynamic world of marketing, event creation, and small business ownership to my current role in local government—where my heart continues to champion small local businesses, artisans, and the farm-to-plate movement. Supporting the people who bring heart and soul into what they create has always been at the centre of my work.
My story is one woven with both opportunity and challenge. I live with fibromyalgia and ADHD, which shape how I move through the world. Some days, these conditions remind me to slow down; other days, they fuel my creativity and curiosity in unexpected ways.
Life has also brought profound personal challenges: I am a mum to three beautiful daughters—21, 20, and 17—each navigating their own unique life complexities. And, most recently, our family is walking the raw and uncharted path of my husband’s cancer diagnosis, with its confronting reminder that time is both precious and fragile.
Despite, and perhaps because of, these challenges, I have found deep appreciation in the small moments and simple truths:
Life is not about perfection, but presence.
It is about showing up for ourselves and others with kindness.
It is about knowing when to sit with grief or pain, to feel it fully—and then, when ready, to rise and continue.
I believe that embracing life’s moments, even the difficult ones, creates opportunities we may never have imagined. Some of my greatest personal and professional growth has come not from grand achievements, but from quiet moments of reflection, gratitude, and courage.
This blog is my space to share stories, experiences, and reflections from my career, my passions, and my life journey. It is about celebrating the makers, the doers, the growers, and the dreamers. It is about connection, resilience, and the beauty of living with open eyes and an open heart.
Oh—and yes, I have red hair. I like to think of it as my superpower: a spark of fire that reminds me to stand tall, embrace my uniqueness, and face life with boldness and warmth.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope that in sharing my journey, I can inspire you to embrace yours—messy, beautiful, and entirely your own.
"and do it all with appreciation, not expectations".
