Here’s hoping you all make it to Easter Holiday break.I don't know about you but 2025 has been hectic so far. How are you all going?Sometimes it feels like I am constantly putting out “grass fires” instead of making progress on the big stuff, right!Whether you're a leader, business owner, event organiser or EA, there’s one thing we all have in common >> juggling chaos while trying to move projects forward.Urgent requests, last minute changes, conflicting priorities… and just when you find your rhythm, you’re pulled into something else. The mental cost of gear-switching is real. And it’s exhausting, I get it and I understand.After years in fast-paced environments of delivering events, supporting hundreds of businesses, and managing stakeholder expectations, I believe I’ve refined my “Top 7 Sanity Savers” to stay grounded, focused and productive:1. Plan tomorrow today – end each day by setting your top 3 priorities for tomorrow.2. Time block non-negotiables – protect project time like you would a meeting. (I am still working on this).3. Batch your fire-fighting – set specific windows for urgent inbox tasks.4. Use ‘20-minute sprints’ – make progress when focus is short. ➡️ People with ADHD also need a deadline.5. Create a ‘catch-up’ day weekly – reduce brain backlog.6. Clarify with stakeholders – “Is this urgent or just noisy?” (POV: stuff happens just to distract us from the important things).7.
